In Queensland, NAPLAN Online readiness activities are well underway. Since the pilot in 2016, an increasing number of schools across Queensland are participating in training for NAPLAN Online. Readiness activities continue in 2020 and pave the way for all schools to transition to NAPLAN Online in 2021.

2016 Pilot schools undertake familiarisation and training.

Queensland pilot schools participated in training and trialled the national platform in August 2016. The public demonstration site launched.
2017 Schools prepare to use NAPLAN Online.

Schools that have nominated to move to NAPLAN Online in 2018 were trained and supported.
2018 Schools use NAPLAN Online in May.

83 Queensland schools successfully moved to NAPLAN Online.
2019–2020 Schools continue to move to NAPLAN Online.

Schools moving to NAPLAN Online are trained and supported.
2021 All schools transition to NAPLAN Online.

Schools move to NAPLAN Online unless their circumstances prevent them from doing so.
