A range of NAPLAN Online readiness activities are offered to Queensland schools in Semester 2, 2018. Schools that register will be supported through flexible training opportunities including web conferences, role based workshops and presentations, support material and school visits.
Training and support
The Queensland Curriculum Assessment Authority (QCAA) are offering a full training day for Queensland schools in August and September 2018. The training is presented over 19 days to accommodate state schools, Catholic and independent schools. Schools need to register through their sector. The training provides an introduction to the assessment platform and information to assist each school to successfully participate in the School Readiness Test held in October 2018.
There is no registration fee and schools are invited to send up to three staff: principal, NAPLAN Coordinator and technical support officer.
The QCAA training day is aimed at schools that are new to the national assessment platform. If your school has attended training or participated in readiness trials in previous years, contact the Queensland sector to see what flexible training options are available to meet your staff needs and context.
The School Readiness Trial in October 2018 is a national activity to help each school become familiar with the platform, processes and check their technical readiness.
Transitioning schools have access to the national training environment to support staff readiness. Students, parents, caregivers and other members of school communities are invited to use
ACARA’s public demonstration of the online assessment platform.
